ideas, promoting international cooperation, research and development

International Congress on Medical Librarianship
The European Association for Health Information and Libraries (EAHIL)
This was founded in 1987. EAHIL's aims include promoting cooperation among European
health librarians and information officers.

Association for Health Information and Libraries in Africa
(AHIL)
The Association for Health Information and Libraries in
Africa (AHILA) is a professional association founded in 1984 with now
46 country members and many partners and collaborators worldwide.

The Canadian
Health Libraries Association
(CHLA)
From the CHLA webpage: "...the [CHLA] grew out of
the efforts of the Canadian Group of the Medical Library Association
and the Canadian Association of Special Libraries and Information Services.
Today, CHLA is a professional organization of approximately 400 individuals
in the health sciences library field in Canada."
