INTRODUCTION TO:
Health Science Library Partnerships Committee

As a committee of MLA's International Cooperation Section, the Committee on Health Science Library Partnerships (HSLP) seeks to encourage and facilitate the formation of health science library partnerships throughout the world.

Our goal is to provide a forum for information sharing and cultural exchange between librarians, as a means of enhancing knowledge that will improve global health. This committee is an outgrowth of the Sister Library Initiative and is comprised of individuals interested in assisting libraries in developing countries to bridge the health information gap between the North and the South.

We work in collaboration with the UK based Partnerships in Health Information http://omni.ac.uk/hosted/phi/ .

The resources on the HSLP webpages are the collective contribution from all the following members on the committee:

Marcus Banks, New York University, USA
Daniel Dollar, Yale University, USA
Shane Godbolt, Partnership for Health Information, UK
Margarita Gonzalez, University of Puerto Rico, USA
